The purpose for this blog is to provide graphic design tips, pointers and tutorials for our clients who are new to designing for commercial print - and specifically for design as it relates to the CD duplication and DVD duplication industry.
With the prevelance of powerful computers and availability of professional design software a very strong trend towards clients going the "do it yourself" route has emerged in the last few years. While it's commendable that people are taking direct responsibility for the production of their CD or DVD masters and artwork, it can lead to problems due to inexperience.
Bottom line, designing for commercial print can be a lot different than graphic design for the internet or multimedia, and we will be creating blog entries for individual topics on an ongoing basis.
